TENS procedure is often used by physical therapist to relieve muscle pain and spasm by applying electric impulses to muscle tissue. The TENS procedure is reserved when other conservative methods fail to relieve the pain/spasm. It’s painless and safe procedure that produces effective results. Patients with pacemakers or defibrillator should not get TENS.
